1.

Long live the King.

Armies gather outside of King's Landing. House Butterwell provides the host that took the city. House Steffon soon lands with another. House Cerwyn and House Bracken provide two more. House Peake and House Reyne are on their way. As the ranks of House Blackfyre swell, Deamon II. ascends onto the steps of Baelors Sept. He is crowned within the fortnight.

King Daemon II. begins his rule harshly. Upon ascension to the Iron Throne, he calls for all major Houses to swear fealty to him. To bend the knee and uphold their oaths to his grandfather, King Aegon the unworthy. To never raise steel against House Blackfyre and to support him in his rule.

King Daemon II. declares that he will appoint Lord Edmund Tully as his Hand of the King for his valiant effort in taking the city. Then, together, they shall chose a new council from amongst the loyal.

For all that support him, the King asks of tribute to prove their submission:

1. All those who support him are to provide a tax of 3 resources of their choosing.

2. All who have sent their tribute may present themselves at court to bend the knee and swear to serve the young Daemon.

Those, who do not swear fealty, will see their lines ended and their keeps given to loyal Houses. Daemon II. promises Blood and Fire.

The young dragon embraces the power of the throne wholeheartedly. Rumors soon spread about his lack of support from the Golden Company in Essos, casting doubt on his leadership. â€‹â€‹

House Blackfyre is split, between King Deamon II. and his younger brother Haegon Blackfyre. One holds the Iron Throne and the Crownlands. The other holds the support of Bittersteel, the Golden Company and the sword of the Conqueror.

The remaining members of House Targaryen might still be trapped on Dragonstone, or hidden in exile as Daemon seems yet undecided of their fates. He may want to consolidate his rule before striking at the Red Dragon.

2.

Outlaws!

As the realm mobilizes for war, bands of outlaws roam the countryside. Several villages are pillaged over the next weeks, leading to significant losses in the Riverlands and the North.

As the harvest is interrupted and the King's Road becomes more dangerous to traverse, it is up to the ailing lords to right the situation.

3.

The War Council at Lannisport.

The city of Lannisport is situated right beneath the mighty Rock, the seat of House Lannister. In the following weeks, the bustling city is filled with knights and dignitaries, Lords and Ladies, eager to discuss the musings of war. Many a bard hopes to win the admirations of the Lion's court and secrets are traded behind drawn curtains. Every inn in the city hosts some delegation.

But ill tidings are heard indeed. Many travelers came by the Gold Road just to see the mighty army, Lord Lannister had assembled. The giant Lannister host however, joined of bannermen and sellswords over the last year, is no longer camped around Casterly Rock. The fields have turned fallow and the grass is nothing but mud, a sign of the bootsteps and tent pegs that had drowned the noise of the portside city for weeks. The men, however, are on the march it seems.

As discussions of war grow loud in Lannisport, the gathering council sees many minor Lords present their innovations of arms and strategy. Amongst the gathered, there are two candidates ripe for recruitment:

A Castellan, experienced in the managing of lands and holdings:

D6, Resourcefulness 1, Stewardship 1, Fortitude 1, Command 1

1.

Rhaela Velaryon, a daughter of the ancient House Velaryon of Driftmark:

D8, Decisive 3, Shrewd 1, Generous 1

2.

The Lords interested in recruiting these Characters must send envoys to Lannisport, paying the travel toll on the Omen of Winter, and then must bid on one or more of the two Characters, any resources that they may, with the winning bid recruiting the Character and all other bids being generously returned.

4.

Drawing Steel.

Around Storm's End, the bannermen of House Baratheon

assemble. The army of the Stormlands stands mighty, as

it sets camp at the mouth of the King's Road.

It is not the only host assembling however, as the Riverlords hold council at Riverrun. Soon, the castle is surrounded with the forces of their bannermen on all sides. Another army for the realm to embrace.

In the North, the Westerlands and the Vale, new troops are trained as well. War is truly upon us.

The Battle of Highgarden.

Past Lannisport and Crakehall, by the Ocean Road.

Down into the Reach, past Old Oak and towards

Highgarden... In lock step marches an army, with the

golden Lion emblazoned on their standard. House

Lannister marches against House Tyrell. The son

of the old lion himself, Lord Maxwell Lannister

leads the vanguard that day, as they approach.

Outside the castle of Highgarden, down the winding

slopes of its walls, assembles another force. The

army of the Reach. Its vanguard commanded by none other than Khailee Flowers, a baseborn protector of House Tyrell. An honor and a sacrifice. Tyrell's and Tarly's, Hightower's and Florent's stand across from Lannister's and Lefford's, Tarbeck's and Swyft's. The grass fields stretch well past the horizon.

The Tyrell host has chosen its position wisely, with two streams of the Mander river on each side. The Lannisters struggle to position their enormous host, weary from the march. Before camp is set that night, both sides plan to take action. The columns advance at once.

The Tyrell host carries less than half the number of men, but the line holds firm. The Lannister cavalry is repulsed each once, then twice, then thrice, each time paying a heavy toll. Archers positioned by the banks of the Mander River stop the momentum of any charge. Each thrust disturbs the Tyrell formations more and more but at great cost to the Western forces.

The interlocked shields and raised pikes of fifty thousand Reachmen hold the line against the Lannister force. Until, a crossing is made. The Lannister host manages to flank the Tyrell's on their sixth attempt, finally breaking their formation. Hordes of soldiers and cavalry flood the exposed left flank, Khailee's command in danger. She rallies her force into a crescent, pulling back towards the defensible hill leading up to Highgarden. As the Lannisters cross the Mander toward the castle, this battle will be lost soon. But defeating this force will cost the Lannisters dearly, they will make sure of it.

As the sun sets on Highgarden, Khailee Flowers retreats into the fortified walls of the castle with meager remains of her force, battered and unable to fight. The Lannister army however, looks much worse for wear. The mighty host that departed the Casterly Rock, the greatest western army since Aegon and the field of fire, is left at almost half its strength.

The bodies of tens of thousands, dead or wounded, litter the bloody approach to Highgarden. The carnage inflicted has the Mander run red that day. As both Tyrell's and Lannister's ready for a siege...

As the remaining forces settle in for a siege, House Tyrell is hit by the news that their fleet has been destroyed. Lord Admiral Thomas Farman has sailed a mighty Lannister armada to Oldtown and set the harbor ablaze, using the defense of Highgarden as a smokescreen to catch the south unawares. â€‹

Past Omens of Winter...

The War Council at Lannistport:

The Lords of the Westerlands gather in Lannisport to discuss topics of war. Knowledgeable scholars from across the Narrow Sea arrive at the golden port. So do siege engineers, generals and sellsword captains. Discussions are to be held, on innovation in strategy, in armaments, fortifications and siegeworks.

As Lannisport opens its gates to travelers from across the realm, many aspiring Lords also see their chance to ascend ranks in this upcoming conflict. Those interested in bolstering their ranks may be convinced to present themselves at the council.

- As the Council begins, Characters may attend for a low price of travel, be it for a single Character or more:

A total of 2 resources of your choice.

Success: The Council will see many travelers. Characters may be recruited here through hidden bids with the highest bid winning.

The Iron Fleet moves east:

The Iron Fleet was spotted sailing past Sunspear. Either the Dornish merchants were exaggerating its size, or the Fleet has grown significantly since its last raid.

Some say their course must be King's Landing, others point to the city of Myr and the disputed lands to its south. If this is true, there is only one thing that Dagon Greyjoy can find there: The Golden Company. The famed sellswords of House Blackfyre.

- Neither a raid on the capital, nor the transport of such a formidable force will contribute to the stability of the realm. To learn of the Iron Fleets plans and delay its arrival, traders and magisters must be bribed. All lords must pool through bids:

A total of 3 coin1 supply1 materials,  and 2 arms.

Failure: if this voyage is not brought to light, Lord Greyjoy may be upon the shores of Westeros very soon.
